I would like to backup our Cisco Business 250 switch for training and then restore it. Via the WebUI under "File Management --> File Operations" I have the possibility to create a backup of the Running Configuration or StartupConfiguration. The backup works, a running-config.txt is created. How can I restore the backup I just created? Or is the backup and restore only possible via Cisco Business Mobile App?

I had tried that, via "Update File" and then uploaded the backup via "Apply". The WebUI then reports "Copy: Copy completed with errors.

Hi
You dont see this options?
Step 1 Click Administration > File Management > File Operations.
Step 2 Select the Operation Type from the following options:
• Update File
• Backup File
• Duplicate
If you have a backup, them you just need to upload it.

I see the three options (Update File, Backup File, Duplicate) and tried to upload the backup via the "Update File". Unfortunately with the error message Copy: Copy completed with errors.

This is the way to go. Does it show which erros? You may repeat the backup process again.

The only error message is "Copy: Copy completed with errors". Can it be that the switch only accepts the restore on the factory state? My attempt was that I create a backup of the "running-config", make a change to the IP address and restore changed.

Wumm...I got it. Then the error may make sense. They might performe some check on the uploaded file with the current config and the devices might be complaining about the change.
Theorically should work and maybe it is only a warning. But, need to test.
