Cisco business switch uplink issue

we have two cisco business switch in stack it has ten g ports. in our old network all connectivity is on 1 g. so now we want configure this switch fiber uplink port as 1 . we have configured port 1/0/21 & 2/0/21 fiber ports with 1g SFP but still showing down, could you please help to resolve it.

 is the SFP properly detected/recognized by the switch ? (that is is are switch and SFP compatible?)

what is the model of the switch ?

and what is other side device you connecting and where it is located ?

what kind of Fibre patch cable are you using ?

does the switch logs show the SFP recongnised ?
