friends.. i have this 3560 which was connected to my network and when i tried pinging it over LAN it gave me a time of 80-100Ms on 1GB lan directly connected on wire.. i removed this switch .. formatted it .. and connected 3 PCs to it .. and now again doing a ping and other two users are not using ... still the ping is 8-10Ms on LAN ... i am really not sure what to check as when i am doing a ping with other switches on the network with much more load all are at 1Ms. can you guys help

which IOS version are you running on the switches ? Issue a 'show proc' command to list all the processes on your switch. There is a bug affecting older IOS versions (12.x) where the 'Hulc' process shows relatively high CPU utilization, which can lead to 'slow' ping responses. This is a bug and does not affect performance.

Found another bug that describes your issue, apparently 26 TAC cases have already been opened for this. No workaround currently...
