Hi Guys,
We have recently bought 2 x cisco Nexus C5548 UP switches. they are running firmware code : 5.2(1)N1(4) and I want to upgrade them to 5.2(1)N1(8).
However, when I try to upload a the kickstart file and firmware to the switch I get the the following error:
est1# copy tftp: bootflash: vrf management
Enter source filename: n5000-uk9.5.2.1.N1.8a.bin
Enter hostname for the tftp server: 192.168.1.1
Trying to connect to tftp server......
Connection to Server Established.
TFTP get operation failed:Undefined error code (2)
I have tried using Solarwinds tftp server and filezila and get the same problem.
Can some one please help me with this as they need to go in to our DCs early next week.
I will really appreciate your help on this.
i have also attached the running config here even though there is no much there.
please let me know if you require further information?
thanks in advance.

Thanks Insharie,
I have followed all the steps correctly and to be honest I have upgraded nexus switches before as well but this time I am not having any luck with it. However, I have just noticed that the file size on the Cisco download web is 167.58 MB but on my PC it is showing it as 171614KB (172.614MB). Do you think this could be the problem? if so how can I fix that?
Also one thing I forgot to mention was that it starts uploading the file but when it gets to the last bits it stops and gives that error.
Many thanks for you help in advance?

Hi,
I thought I would let you know that it was a problem with the tftp servers types that I was using I think. as I have just tried it with 3cdaemon/FTP and it worked.
thanks for your help though.
