Cisco C9200L Firmware installation error

Hi Folks,

I have been having this issue/ error message when I try to upgrade firmware on my C9200L Cisco switch from 17.9.4 to 17.9.5.

Anyone with similar issue willing to help?

Below is the error message:

As you mentioned, you are upgrading C9200L Cisco switch from 17.9.4 to 17.9.5. But in error message it shows, you are installing cat9k_lite_iosxe.17.10.01.SPA.bin.

"Invalid installation package. Name cat9k_lite_iosxe.17.10.01.SPA.bin does not match with cat9k_lite_iosxe.17.10.01.SPA.bin."

Kindly check bootflash using "dir " what file is installed.

Please remove  inactive packages  using "install remove inactive" and upload the recommended  IOS-XE with correct md5 hash. configure "boot system bootflash:packages.conf" and install it again.

In layman's term, this error message translates to "file (cat9k_lite_iosxe.17.10.01.SPA.bin) not found in the flash:"
