Cisco Catalyst 2950

Good Morning,

I'm having a few issues with a Cisco Catalyst 2950 48 port Switch where by i'm trying to access the system, ( Note I've ommited customer identifying information with Astrix )

I've followed the password recover procedure and set the password to each login level from the link below, when the  switch rebooted it still displayed the message below, prior to this ive  reset the passwords on the follwoing levels

Enable password

Line VTY 0 15

Line con 0

The information below has been taken from the switch all passwords have been reset, once switch has been rebooted I'm still getting the motd banner and login: 

I've rebooted the unit again and rerun the commands of

Flash_init

load_helper

boot

but i'm still getting the same message below and not quite sure where to goto from here

Hi Paul,

You forgot to rename the config file to some other name so that system won't boot it.

After the "load_helper" run the "dir flash:". You should see config.text file there. Rename it with the following command "rename flash:config.text flash:config.old" to other file name and after that run "boot".

Switch should boot in initial config prompt now. Say "no" and restore configuration:

     rename flash:config.old flash:config.text

     copy flash:config.text system:running-config

Finally, change the passwords and vty auth and save configuration to flash with "wr".

I've now managed to get access to the switch and have removed the client information from VLAN and all IP configuration,
