Hello Dears,

The flash memory we're seeing on C9200-48T & C9300-48U switch is lower than expected which is nearly 10.7 Gb but the expected one is16Gb and please clarify why is that happening. below is the show outputs to see the flash memory size.

Hi,

Can you post the output of "show flash" and "dir"

Also, if you want to see a breakdown of all the files and how much space they take on the flash, issue the "sh file system" command.

9200 will always have half the resources (CPU, memory and flash) than the more expensive units.

Yeah, I can't believe the 9200 comes with only 4Gig of flash. This is 2022, and when it comes to memory and flash Cisco is still so stingy.

9200 was meant to be a "re-badge" of the 3850 with. The 9300 was meant to be called 3850-X (more memory and more CPU).

Instead of fixing the state &/or stability of the IOS-XE code, someone was paid a large sum of money to "renumber" platforms.

As a sign of how bad this is, Cisco can no longer maintain a decent collection of documentation. It is now up to non-Cisco staff to knock up their own easy-to-understand and easy-to-read upgrade- and configuration guide, troubleshooting tips. This is the sad state of affairs.
