Partners:
I have in my lan 4 switches WS-C2960-24TT-L and recently my company is buying IP Avaya Hardphones.
They need a power supply. Avaya tells me that I should enable POE in my switch for the telephones can be able to receive power.
I search everywhere , but I could´t finf information if this switches supports (or not) POE.
I figured it out to access the por configuration. But when I type POWER INLINE , OR POWER command, or Show Power Inline, insede the terminal configuration , y Receive "Invalid input detectedat market" (I am attaching a link image of th error)
Is it posible that this switch does not support POE?
Any help will be appreciatted!
Thanks

Post a show version and we can tell you if you have a PoE switch or not.

Hey,
In the future, you can also run the command "show power inline" or "show env power" and you can see if a PoE power supply is in this device. If there is PoE power supply it will state the available PoE power.
However, the WS-C2960-24TT-L does not support PoE. Look at the link below:

Thanks,

No PoE on that switch. You will have to use an external power patch panel, use the wall wart power supply for the phone, or replace the switch with a powered one.
Hope it helps.

This model does not support PoE (as what everyone said). PoE models normally have a "P" suffix at the end of the model number.
You can also use in-line power switch. One of Cisco's partner/supplier is PowerDsine.
