I hope i'm in the right section...
About 6 weeks ago i upgraded to premium speed cable broadband and i was given a Cisco DPC3925 wireless modem.
Before this new Cisco modem, i was using a Netgear wireless router to connect to my Samsung Series 7 Plasma TV (PS63C7000). I have a wireless LAN adapter connected to the TV and I was using DLNA to stream multimedia content from my pc to my TV. It worked Brilliantly!
However, with my new Cisco Modem it doesn't work!!! I'm going mad trying to figure it out...i've rang Samsung Tech support and i've searched the heck out of the web - nothing! I can access the WWW from my tv and all the network tests on the tv return green ticks, it's all connected but I can't stream content! I even go to my router url and check the 'connected' devices page and i can see that it assigns my tv an ip.
Does this Cisco router support DLNA? Could any particular setting interfere or can i change any config settings to make it work?
Pls help!

Same thing happened to me. I was able to stream video/picture/music from a ReadyNas Duo to my PS3 via wireless from a Netgear router. It does not work anymore after switching over to the same Cisco modem. Cisco Support page suggested to go back to your broadband service provider for any available firmware upgrade to resolve the issue. The only workaround I came across at this moment is to hookup a LAN line from the Cisco modem to your TV. Same solution I did for my PS3. You can also try to use a Powerline Network Adapter to reduce line clutter but I guess the best solution is that if a firmware upgrade can do something about the missing wireless DLNA support.

I have the same issue with DPC 3925 and DLNA:
DMP (LAN) + DMS (LAN) = ok
DMP (WLAN) + DMS (LAN) = failed
DMP (LAN) + DMS (WLAN) = failed
DMP (WLAN) + DMS (WLAN) = failed
I have to connect the DPC3925 to another WiFi AP to get it works.
I have reported this issue to my provider, it says that DPC 3925 does not support DLNA.
I have reported this issue to Cisco and they have acknowledged the issue of DLNA over WLAN due to th firmware issue.
Both are unable to provide me a fix.

I think there is a bug in the DPC3825.
I use UPnP media servers and renderers in my home network.
For some reason both the client and server have to be on the same side of the wireless / wired bridge.
If the client is on the wireless side then the server also has to be on the wireless side.
If the client is on the wired side then the server has to be on the wired side.
Having a bit of knowledeg of the UPnP protocol I suspect that UDP broadcasts are not traversing the wired / wireless bridge.
thus breaking the SSDP protocol that is used by UPnP and DNLA systems.
I have no control over the product that my ISP uses and they seem to have no control over what Cisco does with its 'issues'.
I just thought someone here might have something inteligent to add...

There absolutely is a bug with this router. I recently was "upgraded" to this router by my internet provder Shaw Cable. Now my Toshiba 42SL417U TV does not work. I'm told by Toshiba Canada that this is a known issue with this CISCO router. It also causes problems with Samsung TVs.
Prior to this router I had an SMC router and the TV worked just find. Now when it connects to the internet, the TV stops responding to the remote control. It also shuts off and on about every 3-5 minutes. When I disconnect the TV from the router the TV works fine but obviously I can't access internet applications like NETFLIX.
For completeness here, I have tried several connection configurations. I have tried connecting wirelessly directly to the 3825. I've also connected indirectly through my Netgear N750 router and the same issue occurs. (the N750 is connected to the 3825).
One thing I did notice was that when I connect for the first time to any router the TV can access the internet but once I shut it off and turn it back on the problem begins anew.
I know this is not an issue with my TV becasue it was working just fine with the SMC router. I'm hopeful someone at CISCO will look into this.

HI guys,
I was doing some research into this issue as well. The only workaround so far is hooking up your own router and setting it to DMZ, as outlined by this fellow - http://troyfontaine.com/2011/11/cisco-dpc3825-from-shaw-clearer-answers/
Meanwhile, it seems the best we residential users can do is pester the ISP to pester Cisco for a firmware fix.
