Cisco FTP Passwords

Hello,

Just wondering if there is a limit to the number of characters that can be used in an FTP password when trying to access an FTP server via a Cisco switch?  Also, are there any character that the FTP password will not accept?  Reason I ask, is that I am automating the backup of a switch config file via a kroon job, and it works fine when the password is set to Password1234567. However, when I make the password a little longer and put some special characters in it, then it fails.

Regards,

Andrew

Found the problem.  The Cisco 4500 that I was working on does not like FTP passwords to be more than 16 characters long.
