Cisco iOS 15 on 3750X stack: random getting disconnected on vty

Hello everybody.

Got a stack with 2 members on iOS 15:

Switch Ports Model              SW Version            SW Image

------ ----- -----              ----------            ----------

*    1 54    WS-C3750X-48P      15.0(1)SE3            C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M

     2 54    WS-C3750X-48P      15.0(1)SE3            C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M

The stack is working fine, devices connected to it are correctly connected and can use the network.

The main trouble is that after a really short time (about 10-20 seconds) the ssh or telnet connection gets dropped without any reason.

I already tried to manage the stack members separately (no stack cable connected): same behavior!

Same behavior with the 12.2.58SE2 release.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks,

F.

what is exec-timeout vlaue on the vty line?

Hy Francisco, great tip you gave me!

It was like

line con 0

exec-timeout 60 0

logging synchronous

line vty 0 4

exec-timeout 0 4

logging synchronous

length 0

transport input all

line vty 5 15

exec-timeout 60 0

logging synchronous

transport input all

I changed the values for vty 0-4 and now it's ok.

Many many thanks!

F.
