Cisco IOS XE 17.6.4 not supported VRF features

Dear Community Support,

I have attempt to configure vrf and ip vrf into cisco switch 9300 series. As per result i receive following notification:-

SWT812P.KUA.A(config)#ip vrf VRF_SERVER
% Feature is not supported
SWT812P.KUA.A(config)#vrf definition ?
Mgmt-vrf VRF Name
WORD VRF name

SWT812P.KUA.A(config)#vrf definition VRF_SERVER
% Feature is not supported

I read into Cisco IOS XE  firmware17.x.x.x  release note and found one of unsupported feature is VRF. Can anyone help me. Do I need to open TAC case?.

 

Unsupported Features

  • Cisco TrustSec Network Device Admission Control (NDAC) on Uplinks

  • Converged Access for Branch Deployments

  • IPsec VPN

  • Performance Monitoring (PerfMon)

  • Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF)-Aware web authentication

VRFs are certainly supported on the Catalyst 9300s - but you need the advantage license. I believe you get this error because you have the essentials license. Check:
sh run | inc license boot level

For VRF you need a network Advantage License.

you can use the right to use for testing : (once enable you to need to reload the device to take effect)
