Cisco Nexus 5672UP unable to connect 1 Gbps transceiver

Hi Guys,

this is my first time on the forums. I've one question,

We have Cisco Nexus 5672UP Switch  with 10Gbase-SR transceiver. The ports  are unable to connect with 1 Gbase-SR transciever of another switch .

Both end we are using multimode transceivers.

I have checked with change the speed of the port on such case , Show int brief shows SFP Checksum error .

I have checked with change Transceiver with 1 Gbps it also shows SFP Checksum error.

Please help us to resolve such issue.

Thanks in advanced

SFP/SFP+ transceivers are SINGLE-SPEED only.  If you have 10 Gbps in one end, then the other end should be 10 Gbps as well.

If its a Checksum error then the SFP could either be faulty, not a Cisco-branded SFP or counterfeit.

is 10Gbps transceiver on one end not connect  with another end 1 Gbps Transceiver  ?
