Hello, I am doing a lab in Packet Tracer and I am trying to set up a Wireless LAN Controller. I have 4 VLANs, 10,20,30,40 and thus I believe the switch port to the WLC needs to set to trunking so it has access to every VLAN. However, when I do this none of my devices can access the the webui of the WLC or ping it.
If anyone is able to explain why this is the case it would be hugely appreciated. I have attached the packet tracer file below.
Thank you very much

Yes, trunk is good. in case of that , That would mean that your inter-vlan routing does not work as it should. I see 2 L3 switches with Port channels, so I assume one of those does routing. I cannot ping WLC from any those L3.
Re: WLC, if you go to PT Samples, you can find an example of working WLC that makes your option, I think.
(C:\Program Files\Cisco Packet Tracer 8.1.1\saves\01 Networking\Wireless\Wireless LAN\WLC)
note: WLC web site must use http (not https )

Hmm... the file you shared seems to not work even with access port. Can you try ? download the file from this site and try it. sometimes PT file saved on your PC doesn't work same way on my PC. Not sure if this is case here; PT has or had some issues with Port channels and L3 switches;
I am trying to re-work your file and remove port channels. Will let you know if I get it working

I think I found the issue; Managment vlan of WLC 2nd page setup should be left as 0.
After initial setup of username and password via http; 2nd page with name of WLC, date, time and there is management vlan 0 by default which i thik should be left alone , aka left as 0.
then save and login back to WLC via https now. you can issue pings while changing switch port to trunk from access. it worked for me.
