Hi Guys,

When I plug in my switch the system LED is blinking green and all the ports led lit up for a few seconds then the ports led goes off, and a few seconds after the system LED is off.  The switch seems like its shutdown after.

Any ideas why this is happening?

 - Make sure it can acquire a none-default IP address through DHCP.

Is this switch PoE? If the answer is positive, there may be a short in one of the ports and this is exceeding the consumption of the power source and due to protection it is turned off.

if you can and you dare:

1) Carefully review the switch's ethernet ports.
2) Open the switch and check nothing is creating a short circuit on the motherboard or ports

Thanks for your response.

The switch is not poe.

I did open the switch up but no signs of anything burnt.

Any other suggestions?

UPDATE:

So i got it to stay on and I was able to login but it reboots like 3 times and then went completely off.

So this keeps happening.

So I am guessing the power supply in the unit is bad?
