Hi guys,
I have a quick question on the C3750 switches.
Lets say I have 2 switches stacked together for redundancy, meaning Server A has connection to Stack A and Stack B.
I would like to upgrade the firmware of the stacked switches.
How do i ensure when that redundancy is there when I upgrade the firmware of the switches?
My concern is, if i upgrade the firmware through the master switch, a reload command has to be issued thus, rebooting both switches together.
Thank you.
Regards,
Kuty

So am I right to say, there is NO redundancy for upgrading iOS when it comes to stacking switches?
Ok, so it's 3750X. Then read this: Rolling Stock Upgrade

3750 only? Won't help because 3750E/X support rolling stock upgrade (RSU).
If one of the members of the stack gets reloaded, that member won't be able to join the stack due to software incompatibility.
There is no choice but to invoke a full-stack reboot.
