Hello ;

my customer having a PC with NIC card 10 copper and he need to connect directly to the Core switch 4506 E , the problem here the switch having a

module of WS-X4748-RJ45-E and WS-X4712-SFP+E so is there any solution to solve this issue with keeping the 10 Gig speed like a module or a

transceiver  or any solution without changing the NIC card to fiber 10 Gig .

thanks

What sup model are you using?

Sup6 cards have X2 which supports copper modules, the sup7 or sup8 have SPF+ which I believe do not.

They are pretty pricey and not sure what the cost comparison is versus buying a new NIC, but you could look at using a media converter.

(This is just one I found, and you'd still have to use two SFP+ in addition to the cost of the converter.)
