Cisco Switches Emulator

Is there any emulator utility for Cisco Switches as Dynagen for Cisco Routers? Moreover such utility(if there is) runs on Windows Plateform, i hope that anyone have knowledge about it..

Hi There

I have never heard of an emulator for Cisco Catalyst switches. However you can add a NM16 ESW module into a 3600 router in Dynamips and use this for layer 2 switching.

Thanks for the reply and it is correct that we can use switching model in dynamips, but we can't confirgure and customize the in and outs of switching in dynamips, is there any one else who have such kind of tool as it will really handy for the LABs on switching

Dynamips is great, but as you have found, you cannot emulate switching except for using the ESW modules. ESW does not support rapid PVST or MST config either so you are definitly limited what you can do...
