Hi. We have Cisco 6506-E with VS-SUP2T-10G supervisor engine. Now we have to buy 10GB module for 6506-E. Is WS-X6704-10GE-3C (WS-F6700-DFC3C) compatible with VS-SUP2T-10G? Datasheet of sup engine tells follow
...
Now how to uderstand - Is "With a DFC4 or DFC4XL upgrade (WS-F6k-DFC4-A, WS-F6k-DFC4-AXL)" about the modules on upper line or WS-X6704-10GE?
Thank you in advance!

That reference is for the modules below - that is, you can either use the X6704-10GE with a CFC (as stated above the reference you quoted) or with a DFC4 or DFC4-XL upgrade.

As I've understood after reading other forums, we should upgrade WS-X6704-10GE-3C from DFC3C to DFC4. In other case it will not be supported by our VS-SUP2T-10G supervisor engine.

Hi!
It is compatible with Sup2T. Be aware that you have to also acquire a DFC4-A or DFC4-AXL which is a daughtercard of the line card.
To put it simple, is a card in the line card which provides certain most useful lookup functions. This card can be acquired and installed by yourself with no problems. When your line card has the DFC4-A installed IT WILL BE compatible.
Please refer to the following documentation for compatibility:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/catalyst-6500-series-supervisor-engine-2t/qa_c67-648478.html
And this is the manual to install daughtercards in your linecard:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst6500/hardware/Config_Notes/OL_24918.html
Hope it helps, best regards!
