Clear ARP .............

Dear all,

we have VPN at three sites on cisco 800, all sites having public IP on WAN interface(x.x.x.x /29).

routers are connected with cisco switch(2960), problem is some times we are not able to reach from one router to other

router. when we do clear arp, they start pinging but after some times it goes same.

i dont want to do clear arp every time but we dont have any other option.

please assist.

Hi Vikas,

When you have problem, before clearing ARP. Pls do shi ip arp for these routers ip addresses. And see if that present andif that correspond to correct MAC. I f that is ok - check the CAM table on 2950 - is that correct for that MAC (forwarding that to correct port)? After you do clear ip arp check the same thing and find what has changed.
