clear counters effects on cisco

Does clear counters make port down or traffic gets effected due to clear counter command on cisco XR, XE devices?

In IOS and IOS-XE, the "clear counters" only clears the statistical counters of all interface.  The ports do not bounce. 

I cannot say what the behaviour is with IOS-XR.

Thanks Leo for XE confirmation but i am also skeptical about NCS-540 (XR) and its a live device traffic is flowing from the ports...
