Collapsed Core STP concern

We are planning to go complete with 10Gb ports from Access to WAN. I have looked at collapsed core/distribtution models, but am unsure about the connections between

the 6509's in this design. I would like them to be connected, but am unsure of STP concerns with this (which links would be blocked). I also am wondering what the best usage for the

10Gb ports on the Sup/MSFC woiuld be - I mean, the line cards would be providing connectivity between the switches, or am I still missing something key?

There is much to tell about this subject. At least you must ensure the 6509 switches are the root of the spanning tree.

You can enforce this by using the global command "spanning tree vlan priority .

Alternatively, you may use "spanning tree vlan root to lower the priority for the vlan(s) in order to make the switch become the root for the vlan.
