Configuration lock due to rollback

hello,

i do have an issue C2960-LANBASEK9-M, Version 12.2(55)SE5

the configuration is locked due to the rollback-feature (configure terminal revert timer). the problem is that it seems to be stuck...it started to revert the config but was not able to finish...and now i am not able to enter the config mode anymore.

Configuration mode locked exclusively by user 'unknown' process '12' from terminal '0'. Please try later.

does anybody have an idea how to overcome the situation?

reloading is something i want to avoid. because it means business outage...

From privileged exec mode you can run 
clear configuration lock
[confirm]
