how to configure a timed access list in 3640 router

To create a TBACL you create a time range and at the end of the ACL you apply the time range to the ACL. Here is a guide to help you configure them.

thanks for yr reply , but i have one doubt still , what will be the effect whem i permit a network to access after the time interval , is it will be denied

The network will be denied or permitted access based purely on the time range u allot for that parameter.

Depending on the range..it will either deny or permit.In ur case, it will permit the n.w to access after the denial period is over.

i configured the time base access list , but i faild to get the output , here is the scenario , two routers connected serially and one fast ethernet to the lan , my acceslist confi r show n below

access-list 105 permit tcp 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.3.0 0.0.0.255 time-range permit

acess-list 105 deny tcp 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.3.0 0.0.0.255 time-range deny

time_range deny

absolute start 12:40 30 jun 2008 12:50 30 june 2008

time-range permit

absolute start 12:20 30 jun 2008 12:30 30 jun 2008

i applie it at the fa ethernet interface of router r1

but the pcs at ethernet is always denid to acces the 192.168.3.0 network

pls tell me whats the reason

acess-list is not responding as per the time range
