The flash: file was corrupt so I have been trying to put a new iOS image on the switch. The problem is this: I cannot write to the Flash: without HOLDING the mode button. THis means that when i try to use the xmodem command to download the iOS image I would have to hold the MODE command for 20+ minutes to accomplish this. My fingers are strong but thy are not that strong. Does any one know if i can change having to hold the MODE button down or is this purely by design?
