Dear All,
Recently I'm working with ISP on a new Internet line installation, and I need to know the distance that our SFP supports (ISP requires 40km).
Based on the "show inventory", the SFP transceiver we used are 1000Base-LH
NAME: "Transceiver Gi9/6", DESCR: "Transceiver 1000BaseLH Gi9/6"
PID: N/A , VID: 1.0 , SN: xxxxxxx
Did some research,below stie states that 1000Base-LH SFP supports up to 40km,

However, on Wikipedia "Gigabit Ethernet", it states that
"1000BASE-LX10 was essentially already in widespread use by many vendors as a proprietary extension called either 1000BASE-LX/LH or 1000BASE-LH."
"1000BASE-LX10 achieves distances up to 10 km."
To me, this looks like 1000BASE-LX10 = 1000BASE-LH, and it supports up to 10km only.

you need to ask owner (suppluer or provider) of FO line. What is budget of line on 1350 nm and 1550 nm. better to see OLTS and OTDR mesurerment docs.
based on budget provided you will know which SFP modul can send a signal.
as I know 1000BASE-LH can transmit -7 dBm and can receave -17 dBm (1350nm)
so if attenuation of the FO link is less than 10 dB so it will work.
very good 40km SM FO link can be 8-9 dB
