Hello. I would like to get some clarification on a set up that I'm trying to do. I'm relatively new to networking so I'm still trying to figure out how to get it to work. Basically I have one ISP handing out one public IP address. In addition I have a 10 port managed switch and 2 routers that are capable of VLAN tagging. What I'd like to know is how to simply get it to work.
If I'm understanding correctly, it would be:
Modem > WAN Port on Router 1 > Lan Port on Router 1 to the Switch
Lan Port on Router 2 > Switch
Then there would need to be 3 different VLANS. 1st VLAN would be for Router 1 to pass traffic over to Router 2. The 2nd VLAN would contain Router 1 and the Ports that will be within that VLAN. Finally the 3rd VLAN would have Router 2 and the ports within that VLAN.
I'm not sure if that configuration is correct, as well as how I would designate the proper tagging on the switch itself.

Your topolgy is correct and all other vlan will NATing in R1 to access internet.

Great. And as for the proper tagging, I'm assuming the routers in all 3 VLANS will be set to tagged, and within the interface itself of R1 I'll just need to make sure that I set, let's say Port 1 to tag the ID of the 1st and 2nd VLAN on the switch right?

R1 -sw- R2
The sw interface connect to router can config as access port no need trunk and tag
