Connecting 2 networks running side by side

Hello. I currently have a location occupying 2 separate networks entirely. They are inter-connected through the use of a VPN tunnel between an ASA 5510 on one end an an ASA 5520 on the other. However, because they are physically located in the same location I would like to connect both networks without needing the VPN tunnel.

What would be the best and most secure way to accomplish this?

Hi,

It depends on the distance.  What is the distance between the 2 facilities? If the distance is less than 100 meters, you can use copper cable to connect them together.  If the distance is more than 100 meters and usually less than 500 meters you can use multi-mode fiber.  If the distance is above 400 or 500 meters you will need to use single mode fiber.

Hi!

The networks are running in the same facility within about 20-30ft of each other.

ok, then you can simply use copper to connect them together if you have available copper ports.
