Solved: Connecting non PoE devices such as PC to PoE switches :

Hello Experts,

Just wanted to confirm if I can use any cisco PoE switch viz. one of the SG350 series model etc. to connect to my PC in my LAN . Will using a non poe device such as PC to PoE switch cause any harm or will it impact performance or any other parameter ?

Appreciate your inputs on suggestions on this.

No - Switch detects based on IEEE Standard device to provide power. so there is no issue you can connect PC to PoE ports.

Hello

You can turn off POE edge port if you desire.
int x/x
no power inline
