Have a 3560 cisco switch which is connected to pxe server that has a static ip and belongs to vlan 10 and a pxe client which receives ip from dhcp pool from switch is also connected and is in vlan 20. Pxe server and pxe client are directly connected to switch.
Altogether there are only 3 devices in the test plan and pxe client receives an ip from switch but pxe client and pxe server are not able to ping each other. I have created two virtual interfaces on switch and ports have been assigned to it.
Wanted to know, if configuration is given properly; pxe client and pxe server should ping each other or should there be any extra device(router) added to it so that they ping each other.
