Console Hashed password

Hello,

i configured a password for the console port and it is encrypted with password 7 , is it possible to configure a hashed password like secret 5.

Yes, you can do it.

Configure a username and password with enable secret on the device first. Like

Username Cisco secret abcdef

enable secret cisco

Then configure the line console to use a local authentication:

Line con 0

login local

this will force the user to use the secret password defined for the profile.
