Hi there!

We aree in the process of replacing a EOL Cisco Catalyst WS-C4507R-E chassis with three Cisco Catalyst 9300-48P-E stackable Switches. So I would like to know if there is any Cisco tool which can convert the configuration.

Appreciate your comments.

Thanks

Hi
You shouldnt have to convert the configuration they both run same unified images IOS-XE
obviusoly the interfaces will be different but all syntax will be accepted if both running same code , and there is no tool sorry but if your stuck let us know and we can help

Heres a link to all Cisco tools anyway that are available

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/partners/tools.html

This explains how to setup a 9300 stack , the rest of your config should be fine from global.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, Catalyst WS-C4507R-E is running IOS 12.2(53)SG.

Also I could not find any config convert tool under below link :-(

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/partners/tools.html

Thank you

Hi
yes thats what i was saying there is no tool for that , i was just providing you the tool page anyway for future purposes

IOS is nearly the exact same as IOS-XE very similar same syntax , you wont need a conversion tool

if your stuck on any of the commands just post them here but all your commands should nearly take going into ios-xe

Thanks Mark for the help!

I will come back to you if I get an issue with any of the commands.

yes please do have a lot of these switches different models and versions too so should be able to help
