CPU utilization for cat 4500 switch

Hi,

I am having the Cisco cat 4500 switch in DMZ envirnment.

The switch shows CPU utilization always 60-66%

i tried to see which processes are using more cpu and found processes mentioned below are taking more CPU

54  11969756761882841792        635 47.84% 43.54% 42.10%   0 Cat4k Mgmt LoPri

  53  23507782482141590258       1097  3.51%  4.30%  3.99%   0 Cat4k Mgmt HiPri

in search further on this i found "debug platform packet all receive buffer" required to use on the switch.

So my questions is can i use this command during production hours?

is this commad cause any issue for traffic on switch?

and how to resolve this CPU utilization from Mgmt LoPri

and

Mgmt HiPri?

Hi,

I've used that command during production time without issues, but well you never know so idepending how critic is the environment, you may want to schedule a MW. Be sure to disable logging console and logging monitor and you should be fine.

Do a show platform health and you will be able to see which processes inside LoPri are consuming more resources.
