Try upgrade to latest code 17.9.5 or 17.12.4 (which ever is works for you.)

if you do not like to go higher version then  try 17.6.X

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Noted on 17.6.x and will do. Do we have a KB on firmware upgrading (best practice), and do we have the capability to revert the old firmware, if any?

high level -

1. take the config backup out of the box

2. give enough maintenance window, since Stack required to reload to take effective of new IOS XE Code

3. clean the Flash make sure have enough space.

4. check what mode of upgrade you looking bundle or install mode (prefered Install mode)
