Once you determine which IOS fits your environment hardware, software, security and relate needs, when you download this file, you will be presented with an option that allows you to review known bugs.
Review each bug (if any exist) to determine if any known bugs apply to your environment.
Cisco makes it very clear - you should check ANY new IOS in your lab BEFORE installing into your production environment. Do not skip this step - it takes time but it's better safe than sorry.
Last note - if a bug does exist in the IOS, determine if the bug affects your environment, if so, look for a workaround or consider not activating (configuring) that feature. If the feature is required for your environment, you may need to select your 2nd option.
