Hi,
Could someone clarify me the difference between custom queuing and Class Based Fair Queuing?
What i understand that CBWFQ serves queues based on bandwidth configured while Custom queuing based on bytes configured.
What is the difference since to me appears that byte count corresponds to bandwidth?
thanks

In their basic queuing model, they are very similar. Basically, custom queuing is (very) old, and CBWFQ is (much) newer. CBWFQ also has many advanced features not found in Custom Queuing, for example, being able to use WRED and/or FQ within classes, and/or NBAR matching, etc.
