Hi
I am a newbie here, We have two networks having geographically distant switches (IE2000) daisy-chained using the fiber network. I would like to connect these two networks with the same chain to be accessible from my server(added both network IPs in my NIC IP). All the switches are IE200 but not configured. Both networks are working fine independently, however, when I link two networks in the chain both network goes down. Attcahed the diagram and the new link in the diagram is I am trying to make.
Any help here is appreciated.
Thanks
Afthab

If both networks are "not configured", this means that everyone is on VLAN 1.
Since each leg is a different subnet then joining both of them will definitely cause an issue because there is no router to route between the network

Hence, do i have to configure vlans in the switch? and this has to be done in all switches in both network ryt?

A router is needed to route between subnets.

Post the configurations you are using when trying to connect the two networks...
