Data VLAN vs Native VLAN

Hi ALL, as far as I know that native valn is used for configuring Trunk ports . IF right then tell . and what is then DATA VLAN. Is any VLAN created for

Access PORT is DATA VLAN . Right or Wrong ! Please HELP Thanks in Advance

Hi Haseeb,

The native vlan is not for configuring trunkports.The trunk ports are the part of all vlans.Native vlan frames will not tag any

vlan information when it pass through the trunk ports.all other frames will be tagged when passing through the trunk port.u can change native vlan from vlan one to any other vlans (default native is vlan1).native vlan also u can use as data vlan like other vlans.
