Greetings.
We have a new (to us anyway) Catalyst 4948 with one AC power supply and one DC power supply. For some reason, despite correct voltage (in our case -53V, which is within the acceptable range) at the DC lugs, we cannot get green light on the Input and Output status LEDs on the DC power supply itself. This is the second power supply we've tried and the same thing occurred with both. 'show power status' reports:
Power Fan Inline
Supply Model No Type Status Sensor Status
------ ---------------- --------- ----------- ------- -------
PS1 PWR-C49-300AC AC 300W good good n.a.
PS2 PWR-C49-300DC DC 300W bad/off bad/off n.a.
According to the video data sheet for this switch, as well as the documentation, DC and AC power supplies may be mixed in this switch, but I am really starting to wonder if that is indeed the case.
Any words of wisdom? ("Why do you want to use both types" sorts of question will not be considered helpful. ;-))
Thanks in advance!

I think Green color means all tests pass. If either LED is green or the other is OFF the power supply is probably not plugged in. If it is red, the supply is either plugged in or not switched on or it is faulty. It may be necessary to interrogate the system for further status using the CLI.
