hi,

between two routers:

R12------R10-------Host1

R12 and R10 are on subnet 10.0.102.0/24

R10 loopback is 10.10.10.10/32

Host1 is 10.0.10.100

I want to see debug ip icmp, but it does not show me anything when I:

R12:

R12#ping 10.10.10.10
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.10.10.10, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/1/3 ms
R12#
R12#
R12#ping 10.0.102.10
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.0.102.10, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/1/3 ms
R12#
R12#
R12#ping 10.0.10.100

R12#

R10:

R10#debug ip packet detail 199
IP packet debugging is on (detailed) for access list 199
R10#
R10#
R10#debug ip icmp
ICMP packet debugging is on

R10#show access-lists 199
Extended IP access list 199
10 permit icmp any any

however, when I clear debug, and use debug ip packet without filtering, then I do see ospf routing packets, it means there is no issue in terminal monitor

??

R10#show privilege
Current privilege level is 15

what do you mean by

sh running- confighello hello s

it looks like platform issue, because I just tried with

(C7200-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 15.3(3)XB12

and it is working fine
