Can someone tell me the difference between default-router and default-gateway? It seems to me that they do the same thing. I couldn't find the explanation in Cisco documentation.
They pretty much do the same thing. Default-gateway is usually deployed on layer-2 devices that have an SVI for management. Default route is for when you have routing enabled.
