DHCP Configuration for 2960 switch

I did the DHCP configuration for my CISCO 2960 switch but the clients are still not able to get the IPs.Please see the configuration below.

(config)#ip dhcp database cisco.com

(config)#pool test

(config-if)#client client-id vlan 500

(config-if)#ip dhcp snooping trust

Please advise.

what device is the DHCP server (Windows server, the 2960...etc.)?

Where onthe network in relation to the 2960 is the DHCP server located?

If the DHCP server is the 2960 you need to create a DHCP pool for addresses that will be leased out.

If the DHCP server is on another network then you may have to issue the  ip helper-address command on the router to forward DHCP requests.
