Hello,
I have the fillowing requirment:
Physically, I am connecting the edge switch and firewall to the same Core switch, logically the traffic should pass from the edge to firewall then to the core.
The problem is, the DHCP server pool is configured on the Core switch and the firewall is acting as dhcp relay agent. but I should not create interface vlan ip address from the same vlan range on the Core switch. (this is because there will be a direct communication from the edge to the core without passing the firewall - since physically edge is connected to the core)
Is there any way that tells the core which DHCP pool to assign for a certain vlan without having interface to that vlan (SVI) ?

Hi,
if the DHCP request are coming from a different subnet and so are using a Relay agent then the gia field in the DHCP request will tell the scope to use on the DHCP server.
