Hi Folks
Whats the difference between WOL implementation with 'wake up frame' and 'magic packets'. I know one of the fields in a magic packet contains 16 duplications of the target device MAC address thus allowing the intended recepient to come alive on the network. There is often reference to a 'wake up frame' within WOL context, but they are not magic packets. How are they defined at packet level ..?
Thanks!
