DHCP Static Address Reservation

Hello Dears,

I have 4500 switch which is being used as DHCP Server. I am unable to reserve Static Addresses for Printers and other servers except putting it in the excluded-address list and manually typing on the client device.

I tried by adding the hardware address option in the ip dhcp pool configuration but it couldn't least that specific address and I couldn't pool the client-identifiers of the devices.

any help?

You are looking for the "Configure Manual Bindings Section" and the command:

Router(config)# ip dhcp pool name

Router(dhcp-config)#host address [mask |/prefix-length]

Router(dhcp-config)#client-identifierunique-identifier

Router(dhcp-config)#hardware-addresshardware-address type

Router(dhcp-config)#client-name name
