Diagnostic Error in Core Switch 6509

I have issued the command show diagnostic events event-type error in a Cisco Core Switch 6509E and have obtain the following information:

The innitial issue is that the customer that it has this switch as a Core and Distribution switch, does experience randomic congestion in the network, and they realize the congestion, because the data aplications and the voice telephony is getting a choppy voice effect.

Backbone speed is 1Geth. they are using vlan 1 -native as managment vlan

Hi Bernad,

Is there any specific reason why you are suspecting issue with core switch? 

Where is the source and where is the destination having congestion. If they are not located locally, start from Wan side to see if you see any drops or congestion on the WAN.

The main description from the customer is that the LAN is experiencing delay on the segments they have. For instance the IP telephony does have some bad quality of the voice (again, in the local segment, not through the WAN).

And also, they showed us that pinging within the LAN, they have 117 ms average reaching the local server and they say this delay should be 1 ms, so they wonder why they are experiencing this delay.

ON the attachment file, we capture the report in the Core Switch 6509E, with the events and I am not sure if you worked with this type of event error in the core switches.
