Different Vendor Spanning Tree Problem

Hi,

I have a network with some backbone switches over a vast distance, which forms a ring(well, its about to)

We have two nexus 9K switches,  which both support Rapid Per Vlan Spanning tree and MST

We have three Meraki Switches,  which support 802.11D and 802.11W (CST and Rapid Spanning Tree)

At the moment, there isn't a link between the two Nexus Switches,  so the backbone is loop free.  I tried to lab this up in CML, however all the switches only support PVST,RPVST or MST.  So cannot easily simulate the Meraki Nexus environment.

My question is what would be the best STP to run on the Nexus and Meraki to get a compatible environment.

I am thinking RPVST on the Nexus Switches and Rapid Spanning Tree on the Meraki Switches,  with Nexus 1 as the Primary Root Bridge and Nexus 2 as the Secondary.

Without trying this in production, and the lack of a decent lab, its proving a little difficult work out the best way forward.

Thanks, Lee

Hello

When cisco/meraki stp integration use either RSTP/MST as in meraki RPVST/PVST isn't supported.
