Disable Networking For Slot On Catalyst 6509-E

Hello,

Our WiSM 2 is not functioning properly and we can not bring it online without risking network downtime, so is their anyway for me to disable the networking on the Catalyst's slot so that I can plug in the WiSM 2 and work on it from serial?

Thanks,

          Sean

If you want to isolate the WiSM2 from the rest of the network, then remove all the allowed-VLANs.

If you want to isolate the WiSM2 from the rest of the network, then remove all the allowed-VLANs.

So how would I specify the slot after config t? I would like to be 100% sure on doing this.

Thanks,

           Sean

Pick an empty slot in the chassis. I suspect since it's an empty slot, the allowed-vlans are not configured. So if this is the case then the WiSM2 is completely isolated until someone enables the VLAN on the psuedo-link.

Could you give an example command?
