Hi every body!
I have one question.
My computer is connected by via wireless link to link system router which is connected to isp.
when i issue the command" ipconfig" on my computer, i don't find dns entry. Here is the output:
Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection 2:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.174
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
How does my computer resolve name into ip address as there is no entry for dns ip?
it directs the ip packets to link system router if it knows the dest ip.But if i have to go cisco.com, computer first gets the ip address for cisco .com via by contacting dns.
But i am able to access the side though without dns entry on my computer.
Thanks a lot!
thanks a lot!
