DNS Server Polling a Router

Is there any way a DNS server polls the router and maps all the router interfaces (up) to a single host name.

Assumptions:

1. A single entry shall be made in DNS to identify the device ( name mapping)

2. All other router interfaces should be mapped automatically by the DNS server in a polling interval to a single host name.
